I’m back!! It’s been a long time, and I’ve been feeling low lately. I logged back in, felt guilty for a few minutes about how long it’s been since I’ve taken an active role in my own life to be healthy, and decided this is the best way to keep track of myself. So instead of starting “tomorrow’ or “next week” or “after I get that big paper written” I decided to promise myself to start tonight. To start right now. Good luck to me!
I’ve been totally off my healthy eating regime this past week. I’m disappointed with myself, and I really think I need more motivation. So, today I joined myfitnesspal.com, and I’m really hoping that it will help. I want to do better because I want to be better.

Guilt-free Whole Wheat Chocolate Chip Cookies!
Roughly 70 calories per TOTALLY satisfying cookie.
Ingredients:
1/3 cup plus 1/4 cup whole wheat flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
1 tbsp plus 1 tsp mini chocolate chips
1 packet PureVia sweetener (*You may omit or use 1 tbsp white sugar.)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp melted butter (*This was estimated for me, but you can use 1 tbsp, or just omit it altogether! Or you can use vegetable or coconut oil.)
approx. 1/4 unsweetened vanilla Almond Breeze milk (*May use milk of choice.)
Procedure:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix dry ingredients, then add in wet. Form cookies and bake 6-7 minutes. Take out when still underdone. (They’ll continue to cook while cooling; you don’t want them to get hard!)
*Ingredients and procedure adapted from two chocolatecoveredkatie recipes (x and x).
*I forgot to mix the wet and the dry ingredients separately, so I ended up having to flatten them myself, and also had to keep them in the oven about 10 minutes longer, but despite that little mishap, they were seriously sooo good! My mom, dad, AND little sister LOVED them! I had mine with natural peanut butter :)
Breakfast: 2 eggs with cheese and ham omlette.
Snack: Luna bar.
Lunch: Pita bread pizza.
Snack: Odwalla bar after grocery shopping.
Dinner: 2 slices of garlic bread with an orange and 1/2 an apple.
Went to bed early tonight because my throat was hurting again and I was sooooome tired. I went to the barn today and groomed my horse and three others. I love spring because everyone is shedding! I’d really like to kick my workouts up a notch this month, I think I’m going to try to do the 30 day shred. We’ll see.
Breakfast: Piece of pizza.
Snack: Banana.
Lunch: Pizza again, finished it off.
Snack: Apple.
Dinner: Cherry poptart and a handful of m&m’s. And a jello with cool whip.
Splurges: Ate a few chocolate eggs. But I’m still proud-not very many.
I feel 100% better than yesterday!! Sadly, that’s still only about 50% of how I usually feel. But now I know that my fever is gone, and I don’t feel like I’m in such a haze. Tomorrow I drive back to my apartment, and then I can stock up on whatever kinds of foods I want (healthy!) and start getting back into the gym. I think this might go slower than I’d like- this cold really took a lot out of me and I don’t want to do too much too soon.
Bonus: I went shopping today!!!! There were sales EVERYWHERE, which is super dangerous, so I probably ended up spending more than I would have if there weren’t any sales, but I got new shoes, Keds, new undies, 2 new bras, and a shirt. Yay!
Breakfast: Slice of wheat bread and applesauce.
Snack: Banana.
Lunch: A piece of homemade pizza.
Snack: Greek yogurt.
Dinner: Another piece of pizza.
Snack: Cup of mint ice cream.
Still feeling horrible. Not sure if the day is correct, but it should be within one or two days. Close enough. This cold knocked me on my ASS. Hard. I woke up today finally being able to swallow normally, only to have lost my voice and not be able to smell anything because my nose is too stuffed up. Today I slept off an on all day, and in between sleeping I watched a few lovely romances on tv. Beautiful. I’m going to take the rest of the week off, and then jump back into my normal exercise routine when I get back to my apartment and feel 100% again.
